SSO overview

NameDrop supports SAML 2.0 single sign-on for Corporate Plan customers, with OpenID Connect (OIDC) on the roadmap.
What’s available today
Section titled “What’s available today”- SAML 2.0 — works with major IdPs (Okta, Azure AD, Google Workspace, OneLogin, JumpCloud, etc.). See SAML setup.
- OTP (one-time passcode) — used alongside SSO for first-touch enrolment and account-recovery flows.
Backing auth layer
Section titled “Backing auth layer”NameDrop uses AWS Cognito for authentication. The SSO config sits in Cognito on our side; from your IdP’s perspective, NameDrop is a standard SAML 2.0 SP (Service Provider).
What’s on the roadmap
Section titled “What’s on the roadmap”- OpenID Connect (OIDC) — for IdPs that prefer OIDC over SAML. No firm date; reach out if it’s a hard requirement.
- SCIM provisioning — automated user provisioning/deprovisioning. Currently NameDrop relies on email-domain auto-detection (see Admin dashboard).
Enabling SSO
Section titled “Enabling SSO”SSO setup is hands-on for now — NameDrop’s team works with your IdP admin during the initial Corporate Plan rollout. Reach out at hello@namedrop.io to start the conversation.
