My profile won’t update, even though I’ve submitted changes

It’s almost always browser cache. NameDrop saves the change instantly; your browser is just showing the old version.

Two fixes:

  1. Hard-refresh the page (Cmd/Ctrl + Shift + R). Note: clicking your NameDrop link again does not refresh — you need an actual page reload.
  2. Try a different browser or device to confirm the change landed server-side.

To delete:

  1. Log in to your NameDrop Dashboard.
  2. On the profile tab in the bottom-left corner, click the (three dots).
  3. Click Settings.
  4. In the Delete Your Account section, fill in the details and click Submit.

I left my company — can I keep my NameDrop account?

It depends on the email your account is under:

  • Account under your work email: update the email to a personal address before your access to the work email ends. See Change your email address.
  • Already lost work-email access: you may need to create a new account under your personal email. Contact support if you have a profile link you want to preserve.

I already have a personal NameDrop account — can I switch to my organization’s account?

Two paths:

  • If your personal account is already under your corporate email, you can likely use it as-is under your organization’s tenant — no migration needed. The org admin can add you via the Admin dashboard.
  • If your personal account is under a different email, you’ll need to delete the personal account and re-register using your work email.

How do I fix the email address on my account?

If you mistyped your email during signup and can’t recover it:

  1. Open a support ticket.
  2. Include both the current (wrong) email and the correct one.
  3. Briefly explain the reason for the change.

NameDrop’s support team will update the email server-side.

I want to change my email — how do I do it (self-serve)?

The self-serve flow is on the Change email page — Dashboard → Settings → Change my email → verification code → done.

If you’ve lost access to the email currently on file, the self-serve flow won’t work — use the support-ticket path above. Support may ask you to send an email from the new address as identity verification.
